1969 wiper switch wiring
 

Can any one direct me to a good article that explains how the wiper switch powers the system and opens the vacuum door.
trying to sought a problem with a mates 69 , cheers

The switch is actually not powering up but rather grounding the system. When you turn the wipers on, the ground is completed to the solenoid on the back of the tach and when this happens vacuum is blocked, when the vacuum drops off the hose the door opens. When the door opens up the limit switch makes contact and starts the motor.. In a nut shell... :D
