Power Window wiring schematic (created by me)
 

I'm looking for the wiring diagram RPO 426 (58-62) that shows the color of the wires, the switch, motors.

Also...can someone tell me which button on the drives side switch controls which window?

Anyone have anything they can send me?

The diagram they have in the assembly manual doesn't give me the info I'm looking for.

Thanks...I'll check with him. I have looked all over and I can't seem to find a schematic. Even the wiring diagram of the car is missing the power window section.

I responded via email on the schematic.

On your other issue:
The buttons are pre-wired via the stock connector on the wiring harness so which window is controlled by which button on the driver's switch is pre-ordained. All you have to do is install the switch per the AIM (note the pin orientation on the back of the driver's switch in the picture). That should get you straight - you can't 'crosswire' it by mistake.

Also, if you are going for an original setup then the power window feed goes through a big circuit breaker that mounts on top of the firewall with bare terminals pointing skyward. Some engineer's brain fart for sure.

Drop a wrench or something else on that piece and it's "Katy bar the door". After I installed the circuit breaker I really didn't like the danger aspect and wired a separate fuse to a fuse block I added above the driver's kick panel. Some make plastic covers for their circuit breaker but that looks Bubba too. Your call on that issue.

Yes Mike, I am going with the original setup. Everything is original except the drivers side power window switch.
Since I can't find one...I'm drawing one up. Should have it posted later today.

What I do find interesting is that the buttons (drives and passenger side) are wired in parallel that controls the passenger motor...anyone ever press the "UP" button on the drives side and the "DOWN" button on the passenger side?

According to what I'm drawing out here...I'm not seeing how the drivers window would be affected. You are referring to the original wiring/switch?

Frank...in regards to your worry about dropping a wrench on the fuse and "poof"...actually you maybe overly concerned. You could short out the two terminals on the posts and nothing would happen. The only time you may cause any problems if you were to some how ground either of the posts and in one case the wire to the solenoid could burn up or you pop the fuse if you hit the other post.

The wrench was simply one example of a mishap that could happen. Regardless, having a bare terminal in such an exposed position with no protection is bad news...

You could always put on one of those Disco neck chains...lean over the car.... :)

Since I couldn't find a Power Window Wiring Diagram, I decided to ohm things out and create my own...dI'll probably post it on a new thread once I get some feedback on it.

Frank...where does the Spade Lug go that connects to the brake pedal?
