Low tire pressure warning system

Have a 96 and am thinking about changing the standard rims to different rims. Is the LTPWS device on the standard rims transferrable
to the new rims or do I lose the LTPWS. If I lose it, the warning light
will probably remain on all the time, correct?

A "generalization" is that the LTPWS is transferable BUT depending upon the replacement wheels you may need to use different bands. It can be done but not knowing or having a replacement wheel in hand it's impossible to tell you what will be involved.

Regarding the light. That's debated from time to time. It's thought that '93+ will leave the light lit. Removing the bulb/s is considered a fix or I believe just disconnecting the module will accomplish the same. How easy is it to access the module in a '96? Don't know!
