Great shots Paul, well done. I see you're escaping the winter storms....good timing!

It was great to see and talk to Paul again last week. The "little town" of Windemere is actually the most prestigious community in Central Florida and on an enchanting chain of fresh water lakes. Tiger Woods had a home there for many years along with many other celebrities and more than one billionaire. One of my favorite things to do is take my boat out on that set of lakes and run visitors down 'Millionaires Row' and let them gawk at the lakefront estates.
I attended the Windermere car show (this is the 4th year for it) for two years running but was so out-classed by the Masearti's, Bentleys, Ferraris and Lambos (along with a real - yes REAL Shelby AC Cobra) that I didn't go this year. I was planning for my Sebring outing as well so time was at a premium. The '62 Mike Coletta built (whose cockpit is shown above) is the most popular car at Old Town week after week and has been for years. Once it gets dark and the owner cranks up the sun visor LED screens with music videos and gets the neon accent lights going I may as well cover up the '61 and call it a night. Its an amazing vehicle - not to mention its a rocket on the street... |

Interesting wheel/tire combination on that white '57 Chevy. Thanks for posting. Schott has a similar version with the lug nuts hidden. I agree they are nice wheels, A friend of mine has the chrome version of the Schott wheel on his '65 restomod coupe. Sharp! Tom P.S. The rat rod pickup looks like it's right out of Disney/Pixar movie "Cars". |
