WTB- C-3 (69-72) Drivers Side Heat Shield -WTB

I am looking for a heat shield for the drivers side of a 1972.

Sometimes there is some confusion on what some of these shields are called.

I am looking for the shield that two bolts under the rocker hold one edge in place, while the two bolts from the fender skirt hold the other edge in place.

The passenger side is typically flat, while the drivers side has some bends and strenghting ribs stamped in it.

The car is a 39,000 mile survivor, so one in decent condition would be great. I need the bolts too, if you have them.

You can send any pictures to mbusiness@comcast.net

Thanks gang,

EDIT: Thanks for the picture Alan

CG,
I can help with a picture but not the part.
This may help someone to know if they have it or not.
Good Luck!
Regards,
Alan

Should be white plastic, with metal tabs riveted on for mounting to bottom of firewall.

Scratch,

thanks for the input, but the ones you are talking about are typically called splash shields. This is why I took the time to describe how and where they were fastened to the car.

Hi,
Much confusion over 'heat' shields, 'stone' shields, 'splash' shields.
I don't think the shields in Scratch's FIRST picture are on the car in his second picture.
What his SECOND picture shows are the early white plastic versions of the later phosphate plated metal shields on the angled toe pan.
What's in his FIRST picture were mounted under the floor pan.... parallel with the ground.
Now would someone PLEASE sell CG63 his shield!!!???
Regards,
Alan

I bought new shields from CSC Reproductions. They actually manufacture most of the stamped steel pieces in their USA plant and are exact reproductions. The shield you want is around $25 and is ready to bolt on.
There web site isn't the best but if you click on the catalog section you can scroll down and find what you need.

I should say ready to bolt on once you replace the rubber piece as the part I mention is the stamped steel. Not sure if they sell the rubber as I just reused my old one.

George,
Thanks, I sent you an e-mail so we can get this worked out.

Splash, What are the shields you have pictured? Not familiar to me at all. Maybe off a much later car?
Alan is correct. Not even similar to what you have on the picture of the car.

Thanks for the input guys.

Alan ,if you ever need anything, let me know. Do you have any original shocks, by chance? Anybody.

Do you have a picture of the other side?

Is the extra hole from corrosion, or did something else cause it?

I am trying to match it a little bit to the other side condition wise.

It is going on a California car that spent most wet days inside.

Thanks

Try this guy. He is in southern california. He has parted many C3's and has many parts. I am sure he has this in a condition you would want.
Now, like some other folks, he can be hard to get in touch with, but tell him Joe sent you.
Good Luck.
His name is.
