So is this a NRB or CG?

ldepalma 04-22-2013 04:33 PM

I think it's CG. The NRB has the black diffuser and the CG is the only one that does not have it for some reason. IMO, the diffuser should be body color and not black....

Looks mean AF.

I thought no matter what color the body is the vents & diffuser are painted Carbon Flash Metallic.. and it was just the contrast of the brighter colors that "makes" it look black.

Zaino is all I use. Schweet!

I agree the diffuser should be body color. Were have you seen that CB will be body color? It will make a difference in the color I pick.

You are correct. There are several pics floating around of a CG car where the diffuser is painted CG but that is just a pic. All of them will be black back there. I too agree it should be body colored and I will paint mine that way after it's here. I am gettiing a CG car plus the vents that are Dealer installed can also be ordered in CG. Front grille, hood vent and side vents and the vents over the rear fenders as well as the vents by the taillights.

Every 2014 Stingray has the Carbon Flash Diffuser regardless of model or exterior color!

So one can get the vents body colored from the factory?

:iagree: There are two CG cars without the black diffuser. One is the car that has no finished interior that was presented to GM for the go ahead with the C7 car. The other is the one on tour that stopped in FL and again in DC where is has body color of diffuser in CG not black. We all know when production starts they will all be CF black painted... There are many pics of them in these forums and on the internet...

Correct, those are engineering cars. The retail production cars will all have Carbon Flash.

I'd like to hear a definitive answer to that as well.

MikeG37 04-22-2013 09:15 PM

I'll be getting mine in CG, or Torch Red. If I go with red I'll have the body shop do the lower portion of the rear like this... I like the CF contrast, but just not so many square inches of it. and the Corvette script will be removed & safely put away in a box for the next owner.

I agree Mike, good call. Too much Black in the back.
Just noticed...still a bunch of old guys and not many young, hope GM knows their target audience.

Did someone say ZAINO

texvette2 04-23-2013 12:45 AM

I brought some of that zaino once. I could not tell it apart from anything else.
Was just more troublesome to put on with the various steps.

No. Not any body color only available in Cyber Gray as an alternate to black. However, you have to pay extra for those pieces. They are delivered to the dealer for installation not put on at the factory. At least that's how I understand the process to be.
