Tried a new gas station
 

Almost ran out of gas and had to stop at a 7-Eleven that I drive by every day but never stopped at. I was surprised that they have 5 grades of gas. 87, 88, 89, 91 and 93!. First time I've ever seen that in TX. Well, remembering that the owners manual says use 91 octane, I did so. $.24 cents cheaper than the 93 at my normal station. I didn't notice any difference from the 93, no pinging, getting the same mpg etc. so I think I just found a new place to do business with...

Back in 1990-93 I lived in Euless. I remember Friday nite Euless Main BBQ. Never should have moved. Oh well!

I go to COSTCO after I saw a BP tanker filling the tanks one day at 3am!

Still there and still just as good. Our Corvette Club does a drive and eat cruise to there every once in a while. :smiliedrool:

No reason to not give them your business, 91 octane and you save 24 cents a gallon.

Got to love TX. I've only ever seen this at 7-11. Why not save money? Done the same a few times myself.

Some of the newer vehicles that ask for premium are only asking for 91 grade...not the 93.

The problem is, next time they might be refilled from the local septic service. :D
Places like that typically buy whatever is cheapest at the moment.

You can save money by buying "generic" gas, but you'll typically lose the cleaner engine benefits that come from Top Tier gas. Either choice may be reasonable, depending on how long you plan to keep the car, the price difference, how much you care about absolutely max power 30k miles from now, etc.
