2007 C6 Callaway Vette; 532????

Went to look at another car this evening. 07 Callaway Vette, 532 HP, bulging hood, red Callaway lettering on the rear and both rockers; and on top of it all a stainless engine cover and a bigass nitrous bottle in the back.

No Callaway calipers, nothing else Callaway on it. I've found info on an SC Corvette Callaway, but that's about it.

I can't find anything about a Callaway like this- - -it's on Ebay for $34K.

Message callawaychris to see if it is a "real" Callaway

Don't think so...look at the letters on back. Don't look like a real Callaway

mcandrew67 06-17-2013 07:00 PM

Just looked on Ebay, seriously, I don't think Callaway would make anything that looked that hideous:ack:

I did that this afternoon; he may be away from his pc or on vacation, or both. After that, I posted on here.

I could swear I did a search and found something about this car, maybe back in 2010 when it was for sale before. Now I can't seem to locate it again. I'm sure it must be the same one because it mentioned something about the 532 hp was only on NOS.

Maybe in BIZZARO WORLD that's a Callaway.."but it ain't no such thing in this one!!"Callaway might have a legal issue with that guy too using that name!

R50THC5 06-17-2013 08:38 PM

Not a Callaway hood. Need to see engine bay, but pretty sure NOT a Callaway original. Let me add, it could have
been modified with after market. IMO negates the value of being called a Callaway.

Wyndridge3 06-17-2013 09:41 PM

If it's a SC606 Callaway there would be a plaque bearing the VIN in the engine bay and on the ashtray cover.

Callaway did make a SC560 in the 2006-2007 model year.

I doubt that this is one, though.

Sorry for my delay in response.

The car pictured on eBay is ABSOLUTELY NOT a Callaway Corvette. As such, we cannot substantiate any claims on content or power they might claim.

Praise Jesus because if you did I would sue you for hurting my eyes.

I cant believe it was even in question.

noz34me 06-19-2013 08:39 PM

Yeah, I've passed on this car. I'm not into heavy engine mods to start with, but if I did have a modded car, it would have to be done by GM, Callaway, or their equivalent.

v8rx7com 06-19-2013 10:26 PM

People build clones all the time .... but this guy is trying to pass this car off as a real Callaway

Nowhere in his eBay listing does it state that it is not a real Callaway (i.e Callaway "look", "clone", etc.).

In fact, his eBay ad lists the car as having "Callaway package" and has
"Callaway" listed as the car's sub model.

How is this not fraud?
