What is a 1990 w/7K miles worth?
So my neighbor has caught the Corvette fever since I bought mine and our other neighbor just did a complete C3 restoration. He knows about a 1990 with 7K miles on it that has been stored indoors the whole time. Got any opinions what it would be worth?

I've been down that road a hundred times. One guy will say its nothing special, just a low mileage car that's worth $5000, the next will say that a Vette with that low miles is worth $10k. My experience has been to just negotiate a price that the buyer and seller can live with. If I were selling it, I'd say $10k all day long, but if I were a buyer, I'd offer $5000 and go from there. At the end of the day, it's worth what you're willing to pay for it.

I hate to see unused vettes like that!:( Hell I've put almost 7,000 miles on my 90 this year! They are meant to be driven and enjoyed!:D
Would be curious what he's asking for it!:D |
FWIW, several, low mileage verts (less than 20K miles) have sold in the mid teens on fleabay within the last 6 months. from the limited information the OP gave - color options, transmission, coupe/convertible, etc, etc, etc, giving a price here is damn near impossible. $5K seems low, but if it's a 7k mile, neglected POS, that might be about right. a mint, babied, coupe might fetch $12-14K - who knows??? with no photo's, too many variables and a general, lack of information, pricing this thing is just guessing.
this was bad timing on my part, but within the last year, I let a mint, near perfect 90 vert, (white over red, black top, optional hardtop, 6-speed, and 23K miles on the clock) slip thru my fingers. sold for $12.5K - :(:(:( (to the OP) if that thing is a vert, white over red, black top, automatic, and somebody's baby - PLEASE PM ME!!! |
