Would you be satified with a base 1LT Coupe?

The C7 Coupe with 1LT has more standard equipment than the C6 1LT. At $51,995 it is a great value as is!
In addition to the C7's aluminum more rigid frame, carbon fiber hood and roof panel, additional HP and torque, 7 speed transmission with rev match. It has the following that were not standard on the C6:
Bluetooth, power telescopic steering wheel, rear back up camera, 8 way dual power seats, Bose 9 speaker stereo.

So my question...could you live with a base 1LT C7 Coupe?

I am thinking of going this route with maybe just a few options such as NPP exhaust and a Z51 dealer installed spoiler.

I could live with it with one more addition: Heads-up display. It's a must-have in Corvettes. I'm surprised GM didn't make it standard equipment.

They (GM) did not, so you would have to order the $4210 2LT pkg if you wanted that! I also noticed that the auto dimming mirror is now available with the 2LT pkg. It was standard on my '12 1LT Coupe.

My take is you buy what you want, but what you can afford, too. Without the last part, it's too much hassle. Would I be happy? Yes.

Back when the C6 1LT no-option cars were on sale, I thought: "someone is going to get a pretty nice car for not a lot of money AND it IS a Corvette!" I still think that now with the C7, and it's a lot better in many ways than the C6.

I try to keep it simple, and i currently own a 1LT C6; so I feel like i'm getting a huge upgrade going to the C7 1lt. I chose to use all my optoin money for performance!

1LT, Z51, Mag ride, NPP

No I would not. 3LT because of the additional leather surfaces and more.

Absolutely.
In fact, if I get one that's EXACTLY how I'm ordering it.
Even with no options checked off, they are still VERY well equipped cars. :yesnod:
Sometimes less, is more. ;)

ZL-1 06-24-2013 04:01 PM

Yes. In fact my friend plans to order just that (if you don't consider dark green paint an "option").

I might add that in the last few years when C6 sales were dismal my dealer was ordering 1LT coupes with only one option: chrome wheels. They just kept on selling while better equipped C6s sat on his lot for months

Never-Enough 06-24-2013 04:04 PM

Nope. I never buy base stripper cars. I like my bells & whistles.

Yeah, that's what I have been thinking. Give me the manual transmission and the NPP exhaust and I'll be happy!

JerriVette 06-24-2013 04:08 PM

I would definitely order a z51 MRC NPP and 1LT with confidence.

That's the 57 grand track attack!

Leave off NPP for a 56 grand a ticket ride and just add it after market later on...

That sounds like my car...Chrome Wheels, SSB paint and the NPP exhaust were it's only options. I have had every option Corvettes before, now find I could live without many of the extras that I seldom used.

Considering that I am not fond of multi-colored interiors, would go with ebony. There's nothing in the 2lt or 3lt package that would motivate me to opt for them. The only things I see that would be nice are the heated/cooled seats, auto dimming mirrors, and hud. But I highly doubt I ever really think about those things if they're not there.

4GS7 06-24-2013 04:56 PM

2LT. I want heated and cooled seats. I drive my cars in 100 degree weather and 20 degree weather. And HUD. I wouldn't be happy not having HUD.

:iagree: I would want auto (though not necessity) because 500,000 miles in 36 years of manual ownership was enough to satisfy my desire to "row" it through the gears. On twisties I can be well occupied steering, accelerating and braking.

QUAKEJAKE 06-24-2013 05:02 PM

No but I would be satisfied with a 1LZ C7ZO6.
