Admiral 94 comes home. Finally ! :). Let the mods begin !!
**Edit**
I apologize for the pictures not showing. As many are aware Photobucket has stopped third party hosting for many that use it to post photos so most if not all my photos don't show. I will sign up with a different hosting site and fix all of my posts if I can when I get time.. may take a while. For now I will just add a link to my article on corvetteonline for pics : http://www.corvetteonline.com/featur...corvette-cool/ Brought it home last weekend and thought id share a few pics. I've always wanted a z an it became a reality when I realized I could sell my dd m3 and pick up a beater and a zr1 for the same price. I literally threw the car up for sale and it sold to the first person to look at it. Anyhow... The z will be modded quite a bit. Look for a lot of Oem parts for sale too. Originality? The hell with it. Ill build what I want and since I can't take this car to the grave with me ill modify it and drive it like its meant to be driven :) and of course ill take care of it like all my previous cars. Few pics of the z! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps053141d9.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...psbb0978be.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps1428177b.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps9eb31d2f.jpg More than likely remove the plate so I can wrap the console :/ http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps0ea5d854.jpg Ayron approves ! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps51088de7.jpg Senna approves also ! http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...psb4b13a73.jpg In a few years lol http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps5c20bd39.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps2b6acad8.jpg The mods list so far includes ... Tints (car is at the tint shoppe right now :) ) SW long tubes catted no egr Corsa exhaust Haibeck chip Green filter Carolina stage 2 clutch w/ aluminum flywheel Hurst short shifter (chopping it down a bit) Van steel coilovers w shorter shocks (about 3-4" drop) Carter200 front sway bar relocation brackets 19x10 and 19x12 3 piece HREs. Rebuilt and likely refinished by me :) (hand brushed / clear) Brakes undecided.. Baer 6p fronts or c6z setup Cut power antenna wire (lol) Remove spare tire More as I remember. :) |
How cool--welcome to the Brotherhood...
Congrats & ENJOY!!!!! |
Wow congrats!!!!
Can't wait to see what way you go with the brakes  David |
Thanks guys :) just bored thought I'd post some pics.. Needed something to do while waiting for the tints to be done ! Ill put up some after tint pics. I took off the latch and shocks and mounts from the glass to make it easier etc as I know the hatch can be a pain.

That was a nice score!

Super nice to everything you do and have
Welcome to the madness! |
Congrats ..love the Blue ones
|
dear Lord I love that color!!!
absolutely stunning ZR-1 you have there! |
Thanks guys :). Car is familiar to me having a c4 already for almost 16 years. Has all the normal c4 stuff .. Horrid stereo.. Creaks and shimmy.. But the feel is just awesome to be back in a c4. Once the coilovers are on it should stiffen it up and feel much sharper than it is now. No doubt the 19s and 30/25 series tires will help with the sharpness too. Mods I have planned for it over the winter are the plenum and injector housing porting. And most likely poly upper and lower A arm bushings and a short steering rack.
I love the c4 for its potential modified not for what it is stock. My 93 drives more like my m3 did meanwhile this z drives more like a boat floating on the road lol. I'm thinking ill just make this a journal thread and post up all the mods as they come along . |
Awesome score! Looks great.

Great car! Great color! Congrats!

Go for it! Have fun doing the mods. I've enjoyed mine for 6+ years now. Always puts a smile on my face when driving it.

Congrats to another AB brother! Awesome score! Will be following along with your mods...maybe they'll help me decide which route to go first!

Can't wait ,I am sure it will be awesome, keep us posted

Thanks for the compliments !! That's a nice z wow!! Would love to shoot that for you if we ever did end up in the same place !! Is that the LPE kit?
One of my favorite cars has always been the callaway zr1s .. Not the speedsters even though they look crazy just the regular window/roof Zs with the body kit. I actually planned to sell my m3, buy a tdi and buy the callaway kit and a massive movit system for my 93 when I realized I would just rather have a z and a beater instead ! Maybe one day ill pick up that callaway kit. :) |
Tints are on and overall I'm happy with it. Really felt naked without them and from the I side its barely much darker so visibility is still great. Here's a few shots .. Overcast sky with sun out so it looks really dark in most shots. Its 35% ceramic.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps92769277.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps9a214467.jpg Inside at night http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps38cb5e95.jpg http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps15e1f207.jpg Looks blacked out from far.. Now I don't like this look but I think the 4x4 and small wheels are to blame mostly. After the car is dropped with all the work done I think the tints will look great. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...ps0f526c63.jpg Closer up .. Can see through easily http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v1...psb0938322.jpg As for the brakes .. Might just order the rear brackets from street shop tomorrow and the fronts from them or vansteel and just go c6z on the zr1. The wheels I got really show a lot of brake.. So I think I really should go with it over the Baer setup I have . Hopefully by next week ill have about 15 boxes waiting for me in buffalo :) |
That thing looks GREAT - especially with the tint!

 Welcome to the blue turtle crew.
