is the rubber inside of the shifter in ok shape?

Everything works as it should. It was replaced with a Hurst Short Throw, no problems when removed.

does the transmission need to be removed to replace the shifter? the rubber inside of mine is cracked and i have some circular play in the shift knob because of it. just replaced the clutch last fall and it figures that the shifter would go bad after i had just pulled the trans, lol. this fits a standard ZF6 trans correct?

Nope, trans doesn't need to be removed. You'll be under the car and in it to remove it. ZF shifters are the same for 90-94. The 95-96 shifters didn't have the lift ring, they were a crash thru (to reverse) style.

Pretty darn good shape. No cracking, the door handle area has some wear on it, but no peeling. Send me an email and I'll take some more pics and send them to you. hdtc88s@hotmail.com
