Oil Pressure Relief valve, oil schematic

Can anyone point me to a diagram/schematic that shows the oil flow of the LS7. I am most particularly interested in the oil pressure relief valve and how it works. If you have any info on the oil pump failures, that would be very helpful as well.

FYI, spun the center main. normal driving down interstate
Thanks
Roger

The pressure relief valve is part of the oil pump assy, and is basically a plunger with a spring. I'm not sure exactly where it diverts the excess oil pressure to, but offhand I would think it is pretty foolproof unless it operates routinely (cold starts, what-have-you) and became stuck due to foreign material or some such.

In that case I'd be curious if the PCM is looking at oil pressure in order to trigger an alarm should it be too low (somehow I'm thinking that it doesn't, or at least doesn't until it is ridiculously low -- like 3 PSI).

Thanks Mark. I had 8 psi at hot idle with no alarms or warnings. 20 psi at 3500.

Going through the same issue with my car. #2 main bearing failure with only 23,000 miles.
