1970 454 intake bolts needed

Need 12 original 'A' headmark intake manifold bolts that look like these in the link below but not zinc plated and not aluminum. Should be dark phosphate in color.

Thanks,
Scott
(email me with photos, please)

Scott,
I believe the bolts you are looking for are part # 3828782, which has been discontinued, but is available from AMK Products and Heartbeat
City in Michigan.

Hope this helps,

Richard

Thanks, Richard. I believe the re-issues are a shade different from original ones. The originals had recessed heads and integral washers. Re-issues have shaved heads (not recessed) and integral washers as also seen on eBay a lot. A set of original 'A' headmark bolts popped up on eBay this morning on a BIN and I got them. Now it remains to be seen what I got when I get them in my hands.
But that doesn't mean that I will stop looking.

I have a set off of a '73 BB, two are marked with M the rest have N F P, I can email you a picture.

Actually that was the norm to have a mix of different headmarked intake bolts installed by the factory. The engine hoist bracket bolts are longer and usually were TR or M or whatever. Sure, I would be interested in seeing the photos and perhaps buying them if for sale.

Thanks,

Thanks Jim. No big rush. Since I'm a bit older I forget more than most people your young age. I enjoyed talking with you by phone this morning. I will comment on your post in the C-3 General Section.

I'm not familiar with NFP bolts but maybe Grant Wong can chime in on that. I think he owns a '73 454. Or did. I got your photos but I-Phones aren't great for detail when expanded. I will look at them in the morning on my monitor and let you know about buying them.

Here's some bolts I have if you have any interest. Most came from a 68 400hp car I restored.
