I picked a good day for a visit to the museum and plant
I made some sales calls to BG last week and stopped by the museum and plant in my first Corvette. I also ran into some engineers pulling into the front parking lot of the plant in C7's and got to talk to them and stick my head in the car. The exhaust sounds great. I asked to sit in one and was told that they are "not at liberty to allow that". Damn! Here are some pics:

Nice ride. Shame they didn't let you sit in a C7.

You've got a nice, clean C4 there! Don't sweat not being able to sit in the C7...In about another month or so, they'll be plenty of them to sit in. :D

True, but it would have been cool to get the tour from a GM engineer! I didn't like how they look at first but the more I see them the more I like it. They look gorgeous in person. Thanks for the compliments on my 89!

The C7 is growing on me too...still haven't seen one in the fiberglass yet. :D Still not too enthusiastic about the rear of it though...:leaving: |
I don't mind the rear too much except for the lights. Should have kept a round or oval shape. I specifically looked for an 89 as I too like the seats, hp, and better suspension geometry allowing for better wheel selection. ZR1 wheels in silver will be on next month. I only wish I could have found a 6 speed. I lucked into this car being as it already had every mod done to it that I planned to do minus wheels and LT headers.
