2014 Corvette Infotainment system seminar
For those that couldn't attend, the seminar that I gave at the NCM on Friday, August 30th during the Anniversary event is up on line.
Here is the video that was shot of the presentation. Here is a PDF of the slides as presented. Introduction to the 2014 Corvette Stingray Infotainment system Rev5 Final.pdf |
Wow!! I need an hour and a half to watch this but can't wait!! :D
Thanks for posting! |
Very  Paul. Bound to be really enlightening for everyone. Thanks for posting.
No, I haven't watched it all yet but I will today. :) |
I put the raw video up rather than just the slides because there were a lot of questions and answers during the session and thought it might be more beneficial than just looking at the PowerPoint.

Nice job my friend!

Thanks for the post.

Very cool, thanks, Paul. I didn't see how you access HD Radio stations - do these just pop-up like the analog FM stations (with the 2LT package) ?
|
Paul you did a great job as always on your presentation. It was great talking with you and catching up since your move down south.

Very nice. A couple of the things that were new (or made clearer) to me included:
1) The display configurations that are shown in each driving mode are only the factory defaults. You can choose to override them and display your choice of display mode with a driving mode. 2) There is an immediate play capability even while the system continues indexing your music from inserted Flash devices. Some things that are still questions for me: a) Does the system reindex Flash devices every time the engine is started? Every time a device is inserted? Or is there a checksum/flag that knows when contents have changed since last index? b) Is there a way to display computer check codes the way I can on my C5? As I understand it from reading other comments, this was disabled in the C6. Boo! Thanks, Paul! |
Very informative - thanks Paul.

I like how you called out the post about the "E/F" vs. "0/1" fuel level gauge. Too funny.
|
Thanks Paul something to keep us sane while wait for our cars to be built!

As a guy stuck in 1100 --
I watched the entire presentation. Great. Worlds ahead, and worlds to learn so one is not out there . . . with manual and trying to learn it by subtraction of what one is trying to do. Plus, when given a friend a "this is my new car" drive -- can impress them with all of the "screen" things. Thanks mucho. |
Cool! Thank You!

No, I haven't watched it all yet but I will today. :) Yeah, the seminar ran the entire time allotted. I could have easily doubled it by going in to more detailed information. That will all come out in the tutorial later. |
