Any info would be great! Driving my z06 the other day
car went into the reduce speed mode and the service traction message came on with ch engine lite steady not blinking,pull over in a lot shut car off for a few minutes and everything is back to normal.pull the code and it reads p2138 any help would be great thanks alot!!!

I had the same thing happen recently. Doing 80ish on the 101 and the message came up. I took it to the dealer and they kept it for the weekend. They called Monday and could not find a problem. I have had no issues since. Very frustrating!

did it react to the throttle. I think this is a bad pedal position signal (gas pedal)

If, as the two above say, it is a throttle position sensor there are two on the gas pedal assembly. Generally, it is easiest and best to replace the entire gas pedal w. both sensors. (since if one goes, the other may not be far behind) At a dealer it costs about 250 w. labor. It does cause the symptoms you reported.
