Can a wrecked Z06 become a fun track car?
Hey guys!
I'm looking for a fun project car, and through my daily run through Craigslist I found this gem. http://norfolk.craigslist.org/cto/4109348537.html What do you guys think? How much do you think it'll be to repair the front end damage? This really seems to be the extent of the damage: http://images.craigslist.org/00h0h_d...Bs_600x450.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/00f0f_j...5H_600x450.jpg And here's the engine bay: http://images.craigslist.org/00505_l...J7_600x450.jpg |
The only reason I would buy it is to part it out and make some cash.
With the frame damage I don't think it would be worth it. I agree with the above. If it was close to me I wold buy it and part it out for cash. That is a great price.
That's a smoking deal. The drive line alone is worth that.
Its a good deal for either a track car or a part out car. AS a track car, its an easy fix (yes, I see the bent chassis, easy fix). As a part out car, probably bring 20-24K.
Scam.
That car would sell for $20K @ auction. |
Could be, there's plenty of that.
I'm going through Hickory tomorrow afternoon. Maybe I should pull in there and check it out. |
Yep, its a scam. I just called the number and it's disconnected
Shame, that is the perfect track car starting point.
:( Well at least that saves me a lot of time and effort. Thanks for your help guys! And thanks for offering to check the car out! You guys are awesome!

the pictures are from a guy on eBay who always has wrecked 5th gen Camaros, think hes in Ohio
I believe that is a picture from Cleveland pick a part. Looks like their gate. They do sell wrecked Z06's.
I don't know where they are but I have seen other wrecked Z's in front of that gate.
Not a bad deal IMO if it was legit..
