Need a good service department for Long Island, NY area
 

Getting my Stingray from Kerbeck in AC but live in Nassau County, NY. First American car in 40 Years! Can any of you experienced Vette guys out there recommend a local dealer to service my new baby when she arrives? I've learned a lot from all of you over the last few months! Many thanks!

Atlantic Chevrolet in Bayshore...make sure you see Tony Dejesspie.They has at least 2 full time Corvette Mechanics fully trained...Tell him you are a friend of mine...pm sent. You will be happy with them!:thumbs:

Besides the above, I've seen posts from three others from older posts re: Smithtown Chev. ("GS-Zero"); 112 Chev. ("z06clif" he says: "Ask for Dave the tech and the service writer's name is John"); Arnold Chev. ("speedster516" he says: "ask for Chris to work on your car.").

Anyone know of or been a customer of Paul Conte in freeport? Any good? thanks in advance.

I wouldn't trust them with my Vette - just because I once brought my Tahoe to them and the work was done poorly and the vehicle interior was a mess.
I think Atlantic sells more Corvette's than any other dealer on Long Island, but it is still less than 10% of what Kerbeck sells.

I had a C6 Z06 and used Smithtown chevy for Service
I know they have 2 certified corvette mechanics
There. they really nice service department ,
When I had my corvette in for service they actually
Had me come into the shop where my car was
To talk about the problem which was minor problem.
In my opinion they were very professional

Bought and serviced my C7 at Arnold. So far a positive experience. Now I know to ask for Chris...

Thanks! That's good to know, but I think someone else on this board posted recently saying that Arnold refused to service his Z06 because it was purchased from Arnold (which is kind of ridiculous given that they are paid by GM for warranty work and would earn a new customer).

Conte seems to get universally panned on the forum, but I've had my C6 there several times for oil changes and have had no problems. It's the most convenient for me, I don't have a lot of time to take it somewhere else.

They have a good number of Corvette's and Camaro's there which is somewhat reassuring. If I needed major work I might take it to another place but for routine stuff I think they are fine.

Take the drive up to Corvettes of Westchester its only about an hour away, Total pros
