Is Velocity Yellow becoming a more popular color?
 

I'm just curious about thoughts on this. I love the color. But in 07 VY only accounted for 9.3% along with Atomic Orange. White was the only color to sell less. 2013 stats don't show any real increase in VY sales. Yet, as I look around at at the pictures posted by new Vette owners, I notice what seems to be more than 10% VY corvettes
What's your thoughts? Is VY becoming more popular? Or am I noticing VY moreso because that's the color I own? Just a curious question.

I have never been into yellow cars but the C7 in yellow w/ black wheels and yellow calipers is HOT! I would order that now if I had to do it again.

I was never a big fan of Yellow, but when I saw a C7 in Yellow with the carbon flash package and black wheels, I had to have one, and now I do! :)

The problem with yellow in the past, for me anyway, was there was just too much yellow. Now that the C7 has sharper lines with the black vents and black rear end, there is much more contrast. To me, this is why yellow looks so great on the C7.

When we got our Velocity Yellow Z51 at the Museum they told us that Velocity Yellow was the #3 color being delivered. Black was #1 and Torch Red was #2.

:iagree: C7 looks great in Velocity Yellow w/ the contrasting vents in CFM plus add the black Z51 rims too. :cool: :cool:

how do you like your car? Did it meet your expectations? Did you get the z51?

Did you feel the same way about the red Vettes? Just curious

I know of at least one Velocity Yellow fan. When I visited the BG plant before the GA for the C7, the plant manager was driving this car as his personal "test" car.

The yellow looks really good on the C7.

Waiting to order my VY Z51. First car was a yellow roadrunner I have always wanted a VY vette.

I love the car. The only issue I have are minor creaks when going over bumps. Yes, I have the Z51 along with all of the other goodies :).

Yes, but not to the same extent. Yellow is much more "in your face" than red. That being said, I am not fan of red cars, period.

yellow is also the fastest!

I liked Millenium Yellow on the C5, Less so on Velocity Yellow for the C6 but on the C7 it looks fantastic.

Not if 2013 production stats mean anything - only 4.5% were velocity yellow.

I had a 07 VY until I got my C7. I always received a lot of good comments from Vette and non Vette people. The color is eye catching. And, polished well it shines like crazy.

Do you have the glass top?? I've heard of one issue with that top creaking.

I have the solid and glass tops. I actually have less creaking with the glass top on. Go figure... :willy:

Yellow is great, but I had a yellow 09 Z06 and don't want two in a row.
