Question on parts give away

I'm in the middle of getting a 2012 vert. And I have some 2000 parts to give to anyone who nees them. I know you all do a christmas giveaway and my question is do you charge people for shiping. I'm not looking to make money as this c5 forum is the best. I like the help I received over the yrs. and though I coul pay back if even a little. After 185,000 miles it's time to move on. Anyway some of the small things I have I will try to send them as simple as I can.
1) seven msd red spark plug wires
2) ash tray (gone)
3) rubber bottom part for the cup holder (gone)
4) used trunk latch assemble( this has that wine when you try to release it) I don't know if it's repairable.

Like I said most of this can go in envelopes so no problem. Thank you all for all of the help over the years and even the BSers who made me laugh as they start S$%t. Frank

I would love to have the rubber insert for the cupholder and the ashtray. Both were missing from my car when I bought it.Never could force myself to pay the asking prices for these on the auction sites.

We have a couple ongoing Pay It Forward threads on some RC sites I belong to. Usually everything is offered Free and the person who requests such part pays shipping unless the item is small and the person offering just wants to cover shipping. Sometimes on small parts it is less than a cup of coffee at the local shop so I just cover it.

Maybe the mods can put a sticky at the top and start a thread of our own on here? I will have parts to give away sooner or later myself.

Last year instead of paying for the shipping,I sent a contribution to St. Judes. It was what the giver wanted to do.I then sent another member a shift knob and asked that he do the same. Not a lot of money but it goes to a great cause!!

Many times I just told a member to send me a check for $15 to $20 for shipping.
