My '70 back from paint!
Its taken 2 years of off and on again work, but i finally brought my '70 coupe back from paint. I did all the body work myself, starting by removing every scrap of paint and finishing by sanding the primer to 600 grit wet. Here is a partial write up. Yesterday i brought it back home after a week at the shop getting color and clear. There is still a lot of work ahead of me, but this is a major milestone.
This is the second car I have done all the body work, and there is no better feeling than seeing this level finish. Unlike a lot of things in life there are no shortcuts, only the right way and the wrong way. Enjoy... http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...pse1688c78.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps379c0054.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps4bd632f6.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps5df5a702.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...psef0a761b.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps92c56936.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps3ee84ce0.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...psd5a54ec6.jpg http://i101.photobucket.com/albums/m...ps17e64f13.jpg |

What did the paint shop charge to paint it if you don't mind me asking.
99% sure I'm going to attempt to paint mine myself as that's why i bought the car. But I dread screwing it up and having to do all that body work again lol. |

If you can afford it IMO its worth having a pro spray it. The orange peal is less, there are very few specks of dust, and I didnt have to stress for days about doing it myself. |

From the pictures of your car those points are all supported by the results. :D It looks great. |
Looks so nice. I'm starting to lean towards getting mine sprayed by a pro. What happened to that L88 hood

Wow!!! That looks fantastic. Mind if I ask how much it ran you for paint, after you did all the prep? I'm thinking about a repaint on my 75.

Oops. Sorry. I missed the previous post on price. Looks great.
