Traction Bars on the C7 Z51?
Was wondering if anyone had any idea how adding traction bars to the Z51 would affect it's special suspension and magnetic selective ride control?
I'd be interested in looking into them for quicker launches, better grip, less wheel spin/tire hop, and faster acceleration overall. Would traction bars be a good idea on this car, or not so much? Would it defeat the technology that's already there? Or would it help to better plant it (without taking away from the MSRC)? |
Aren't traction bars something you put on a solid rear axle car?

IRS cars do not use traction bars. So no this would not be something to look into.

I also didn't think they helped unless you also had a traditional leaf-spring suspension, not the transverse configuration on the vette. |
There are plenty of traction bars for FWD cars that don't have live axles...
But I have never heard of any for Vettes... |
they work great on the vettes, along with hot coils for your HEI igntion, carb spacers, fuel cooler canisters, electric superchargers, 100hp/60mpg chips , throttle boosters and side pipes
all those mods combined you should have a c7 that will run 2s in the quarter at 700+ mph consistently. |
