Why buy a 14 now??

Just curious as to why anybody would want a 14 now with the 15's not that far off??

With the 14's having such a short run and being produced later than usual why get a 14 now knowing that you're going to take a big hit if you go to trade it in when the better models come out?

And for the northern buyers it's even worse since the car will probably be in storage till spring.

Potential price increase?

Define better car ?

khoeysr 12-12-2013 10:19 AM

None of that bothered me. My car is sitting in a storage box.

I do believe the Z51 option will be more expensive on future models. The current pricing just doesn't make sense but it was to my (and many others') benefit.

Just because a new model year comes along doesn't mean the car is better. Also, the 14 will be a head turner no matter what.

Its fun to be the first? Early adopters may have a few hiccups, but I've been driving a C7 for months....couldn't have done that if I had waited

Have they announced the end date for 2014 production?

Speculation from a forum dealer in PM was that they were geared up to run the 2014 build until June/July. So, add a couple months to that for a 2015 order (including any delays due to the surge of Z06 orders that need to be built) and you're probably going to miss next summer in a C7 if you don't buy a 2014.

in the neighborhood?

bevo_87 12-12-2013 10:29 AM

i don't think the 2015 will change much because they just got the 2014s being built and shipping. I don't even think the A8 will come out on the base models or Z51s until 2016. I am thinking the 2015 will be a twin to the 2014....Don't expect major jaw dropping changes in my opinion.

Hey old T Bird ,Go drive one and see what the hell you have been missing all this time. That's why.

MikeC4C5C6...C7 12-12-2013 10:35 AM

How about the fun of driving it?

W88fixer 12-12-2013 10:36 AM

What would be nice would be a 2015 HP increase due to computer programming that 2014 owners could get done by the dealer and not void a warranty. I can dream, right? Don :D:D

jimbotenpro 12-12-2013 10:37 AM

Because they are AWESOME!!

BlueOx 12-12-2013 10:37 AM

The time value of toys.

I would wait and see if any repairs and new features added. If someone has never
owned a sports car and getting a woody, man go buy one. But for the ones
of us who have had numerous vettes, believe once the new car smell gone its just
another vette. Not just vettes, Lexus, BMW, found the new fades fast.

You are right you own just another Vette. But not us guys .

People want to be able to drive it during the prime driving season, spring/summer.

If you wait for a 2015 the Northeastern people will have to tuck it away after only a few short months.

That's fine. But the question is why buy now?
