AR Racing Torq Thrust II 17x8 5x4.75 and Nitto NT555 G2 255/50R17. Both before and after are the same exact height.

Did you have any spacer, t-arm, spring or brake mods to make them fit?

I like the ride and appearance of 15s but the better tires available in larger diameter do well in corners.

What are specs on your wheels/tires and did you have any mod's to make the wheels and tires fit? Any spring, trailing arm or other changes?

The red car's 15 x 10 install is covered over in the C3 15" wheel thread. The silver car has 17x8 and 17x9.5 Torq Thrust II with 255-45 and 285-40 tires. I relocated thehttps://cimg1.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...46573b737c.jpg
parking brake cable and switched to a narrow rear spring. Don't remember the rear back spacing, front is 4".

I have the original wheels in storage, but wanted something different. I ended up with wire wheels. They are 15's. Front rubber is 255/60/15 and the rears are 275/60/15.

those wire wheels look awesome!!! its subtle and unique. can you point me in the right direction on where I can find ones like that?

Yea i went from 15x8 with 235 on the front and 255 on the back to 17x8 with 225 on the front and 235 on the back. They ride a lot nicer but needs to be lower so will get 8 inch bolts 4 the back and see what i can do with the front.

No mods were required.

They look great! Can you fit a full sized (255 60 15) spare (Original Rally rims) in the spare wheel well on a 1972 C3? TIA

Soundbite

Absolutely love this look, lots of depth to.it! What kind of suspension mods are on the car? Offset trailing arms? What backspace are the rims?

OldCarBum 10-18-2018 11:38 AM

Very Nice!!!

New Shoes for the C3KR

In the process of doing a lot of things, but since I'm working on brakes and suspension, I didn't want to put the old wheels and tires back on. 15x8 US Mags Indy U101 with 275.60.15 Cooper Cobra Radial GT's, with their billet spinners in the rear. I just stuck the other rear tire up front to see what it would look like. Cooper doesn't make a 260.60.15 anymore, so 255's up front will have to suffice.

Milan 454 ...what size spacers:hide:

Milan454 12-08-2018 06:55 PM

3.1 inch and 2.9 inch from motorsport-tech. Wheel and hub centric. JR can hook you up. These adapters are lifetime warranty and survived MANY track events. BTW 2 coils cut from front springs. 10inch bolts in the rear stock spring

New shoes... 17x8 with 4" Backspacing on the fronts running Nitto 555 255/50ZR17 and 18x9.5 with 5" backspacing on the rear running Nitto 555 285/40ZR18's. I ended up putting on 1/4" spacers on the rear to clear the e-brake cable. I needed to remove the e-brake brackets as well. They will be relocated to the top of the Trailing Arm, and at that point, I will probably be able to get away with no spacers.

Looks Good! I went with 18x9.5 with 4 3/4 back spacing no mods at all.
