Replacing dash screen cover question

I have a speck of dirt behind the plastic cover for the dash. It's not terrible, but it's bigger than a speck of lint. It's annoying and not what I expect.
Questions:
Does anyone else have this problem?
Does anyone know how hard it is to replace? Can the cover only be replaced, or do you have to replace the whole cluster?

I was going to take it to the dealer, but wanted some opinions first.

Take it to the dealer. That is why you have a warranty. I am pretty obsessive about my 'Vette. That little speck would drive me..

I have that same problem on the Silverado. You have to pull the cluster, remove the lens and clean it.

The fix for that would not be for the faint of heart. While I am not sure how easy it is to remove the clean cover of the instrument cluster to get rid of that speck, I can tell you that it will require removing the dash panel and that I is something I tackled to swap in my FAY carbon fiber dash panel. That part of the job (remove and reinstall) alone is a time consuming project at a 2 hour job if you are familiar with the process. While it is not difficult, it requires the removal of an insane amount of screws and fasteners which hold the dash and panel together.

Having said that, I would absolutely let the dealer do this job unless you are really ambitious. Even then, it's not worth the headache. Especially with the risk of screwing something up.

Yes, new car, big job, risk of rattles/ damage.

Maybe try blowing compressed air around/ under the area and with luck the speck will disperse.

Thanks for the input. Hopefully the dealer will take care of it. Maybe I'll ask about swapping the dash for the carbon fiber since they will already be removing it.

I am sure the dealer will take good care of it. Had that problem on several cars in the past. Never a problem after the repair
