C7 Corvette Stingray Skip Shift Eliminator - CAGS - 1 to 4 eliminator!

C7 Corvette Stingray Skip Shift Eliminator

Also called CAGS Defeat

Do you hate the 1-4 skip shift installed on the C7 Manual Transmission? This little device will eliminate that annoying issue.

Our corvette skip shift kit will allow you to disable the Computer Aided Gear Selection (CAGS) feature of your C6 Corvette's 7-speed gearbox. This kit comes with the correct connectors, plugs and seals to protect your wiring harness and CAGS solenoid to allow you to re-connect the harness for full CAGS function, if you so desire. This kit is designed for use a C7 Corvette only. Will not fit C5 or C6 Corvette. No permanent modifications are required to install this product.

Great, when my car arrives, the first and maybe the only mod I will accomplish.

Do you have install instructions?

I have to say the 1-4 skip can be really annoying at times.

Need install instructions.

Perfect, thanks.

Some of the other options for the CAGS removal have wires between the connectors but yours doesn't seem to (or at least the pictures don't show it)... I'm curious as to the difference.

I was going to go with a Pfadt ecu reflash that would eliminate CAGS at the source but I'm kinda worried about warranty issues. I bought this eliminator instead for now. Anxious to get it.

I did the mod on my C6. Skip shift C7 kit, picture looks like a similar setup. Took me longer to jack the car to gain access then to perform the mod. In the city traffic that I normally operate in, that darn gear block interferes all the time. Increased acceleration isn't an option unless you want to smash into the rear of proceeding vehicle. A great way to make friends?

I have a friend with C7 and his has never gone into the shift eliminator mode. He drove around for half hour yesterday trying to make it go into that mode and it never did.engine was warm, shifting at the proper mph and low throttle placement as described was necessary for it to kick in. After 2000 miles of driving it has never been on in his car. I bought and eliminator for a Corvette I just ordered but he says I will never need it if I have same experience as he has. Any input here???

Warranty is unchanged no matter how you mod your car. But a claim under warranty might be denied if GM could blame your mod for the damage.

Perhaps he drives with a heavier foot. Driving through town for 20 minutes, we had 1 to 4 five times...drove us crazy!

Your friend has a great story, its truly inspiring, and we've all heard it numerous times from people who don't need CAGS delete. That being said, I will be getting one of these. I drive in LA traffic every day and it is an absolute necessity. Period.
