If you have a solid petal now, 2-3 liters should get it done. The challenge now that the gov has outlawed ATE SuperBlue is to figure out when the DOT 4 is coming through.......:toetap:

On a C5 it takes about 2 pints. I would expect C6 to be similar.

Use a turkey baster to suck the reservoir dry. Pour in about one pint to fill and then start bleeding. That way the only old fluid is in the lines.

If the fluid has been hot or is old you will be able to see the color difference at the caliper if you use a clear hose hooked to bleeder nipple.

I use Prestone Dot4

It's the blue coloring that has been outlawed. The Feds say that brake fluid now has to be clear to a yellowish color. ATE Typ200 is the same fluid as the Super Blue, just a different color. Fortunately, I bought a liter can of Super Blue last fall just before the new rule.

I guess what has to be looked at is any differences in fluid coloring between various brands of fluid. I would think even a mild change in color should be visible.

That's a good question. On my c5z with stock brakes:

32 oz is about a liter. I use 2 12oz bottles & if any is left I freshen up the clutch resevoir.

I empty the master so all new fluid is pushed thru, just look for the color to be clear & bubble free.

I guess if you have BBK with more pistons it would be more. I think 3 liters would do all 5 of my vehicles.

I did mine yesterday using ate blue and did not use a full liter.

I did my C6 GS today and a complete flush/bleed took 1250 ml. which is 2 1/2 pints
