"CW4L and HRE on my C7"

I wanted to share the great customer experience I had with Gerry at Custom Wheels for Less. Its easy to gripe when the experience is bad but when it's great it is easy to forget and not say anything. I had been researching wheels for my C7 and based on the recommendations on this forum I thought I would give him a try.

WOW, I don't think it took two hours on a Saturday afternoon none the less and we had communicated several times by E-mail and a couple of times on the phone. He helped me sort out my exact wheel (I had some ideas but was not certain) the color of the inner and outer barrels and the paint for the centers. I could not have been happier and more pleased! He took the order and I think they arrived 2 weeks before I had expected them in perfect condition just as promised.

I strongly encourage others to give him a try you won't go wrong. Thank you Gerry!!

And nice shop, by the way, CW4L!

Beautiful!!!!!

I cant even believe there are people who have tried to compare HRE wheels with TSW. Its like comparing a Rolex to a Casio.

BOBSZ06 06-11-2014 10:39 AM

The Crystal Red tint with the black vents/trim and black stripes, and the HRE black wheels......EXCELLENT!!

I expect these will be available for my very similar 2016 Z06! :D

HRE Wheels

What is the model number of the wheel? I didn't see it listed. Thanks

I'm a lover of dark reds coming off a Monterey Red C6. I'm not a lover of black wheels usually, but, those wheels with the body colored rim and the rivets look excellent! That's the best black wheeled C7 I've seen bar none. :yesnod:

Thanks everyone! These are the S101 wheel. Gloss Black inner and outer barrels and satin black centers, Ordered up to swap the Z51 tires, (19" front and 20" rear) and I sold the factory rims.

I would like some pics of this outside in the sunlight.
Does the CRT get washed out some in the light?

I am sure you love your HRE wheels. When I got my 2003 350Z I got HRE's, polished Aluminum with spokes that had a machined surface. Absolutely stunning, not fully able to appreciate them unless you see the quality in person.

Personally, I just do not get spending so much money on wheels with the current style ie black rims and no deep dish. The new style to me just looks boring compared to deep dish wheels the make the tires seem big and aggressive.

Aga9in, enjoy your wheels. My comments above are focused on the current trends in which do not appeal to me. Regardless, HRE is a top notch wheel.
