1991 Corvette M6 w/FAST XFI efi system installed buy before I part it out
The original ad is below. I'm stealing the new radio out of this and putting it in my wife's car. While the dash is out, I'm considering breaking it all down into a pile of parts and selling off everything. This is a complete running car (still needs some tuning work, but it runs decent....I drove it to work all through October in downtown Columbus, OH traffic). I'd love to sell it complete. I'm adding this information at the top because there's another thread here where someone is parting out a C4 and someone asked "looks like a decent car, why did you part it out?". I'd like to avoid that question. Right now, I can't seem to sell it and it's likely worth more in parts. If someone shows up with the right amount of cash, I'll help them load it (2 sets of wheels, spare parts, a pile of brake pads and all). If not, I'm looking at getting rid of all of it in pieces in an effort to get the cash out of it. It is a complete and running car (new sun visors, new center console lid, complete interior, new AC lines and PS lines, PS pump and Alternator, etc).
I'll probably give it a few more weeks and then I should have time to tear it apart (I just had surgery on my elbow a couple weeks ago and I'm just getting to where I'm ready to play in the garage). I've decided to sell my 1991 Corvette M6. This is going to be a little long, but here's the scoop... I had a 1992 Z28 autocross car and I decided I wanted a street car. I pulled the engine out of the Z28 (approximately 1,200 miles on it since it was built) and bought a Corvette. I put a set of Trick Flow 175 heads on it and a TPIS Miniram II as well as a TPIS throttle body and did a complete tear down and refresh before putting it in the Corvette (rod/main bearings, had the crank polished, new cam bearings, all gaskets and seals, new heads, new intake, new throttle body). I bought a Canton road race pan for it, stainless works long tube headers and a Dewitt radiator and started putting it together. The transmission was converted to crash through and a Hurst shifter was installed. I also ordered all the weather stripping for it and changed some (the rest is in a box) as I had time. It also has a new center console lid and new sun visors. The heads, intake, clutch, flywheel and distributor have about 85 miles on them, the throttle body and injectors are less than that and I installed the Borla kit after the rest was done. I've paid for two proms from two reputable places and eventually gave up and installed a full FAST XFI 2.05 EFI system. This took care of things and the car runs quite well now. I have a pile of money in this car, I'm asking far less than I have in it. I'm selling the car and the collection of parts I have for it as a lot. It's red with black leather and has 118 k miles on the chassis and a 6 speed with 3.45 gears (dual power seats, electronic climate controls). I'll save time and just start a parts list: 350 bored .020 over with splayed main caps and two bolt studs (and a billet front bearing cap on the #1 main) Forged crank (ZZ3 crank) Lunati Street Race rods (5.7") with floating pins. I'm sure there's more and I'll go through the garage and update this. I'd rather find someone who wants to finish the tuning (it runs great, there's always some little things to do) and enjoy it instead of parting it out. So, in a nutshell, if you like tuning these cars and want a car with a lot of nice stuff in it....look me up. Pics on request. And I own the F-body road race autocross forums (www.frrax.com), there is a thread on there about the Camaro (that I had this engine in) and a thread about building the Corvette with some pics where you can see what's where and what's in the car, etc. There are some pics of the FAST install in this thread starting on May 1st. https://www.corvetteforum.com/forums...thout-one.html Located on the west side of Columbus, OH. trackbird (at) gmail dot com $14,500 |

helping a member out, he emailed me a bunch of pics of his 91 vette, just uploading them for him. mainly learning for myself for the future. but enjoy the pics. not all of them, but a sampling of what he sent to me. good luck! enjoy |
The FAST install is completed and the car is making good power (flooring it in first will obliterate the tires at any speed). I'm looking at a 2013 C6 and I don't have room for both cars.
Pics on request. Feel free to contact me for any additional info. Thanks! |
Offers? I'm guessing it's worth more in pieces, but I hate to tear it apart.

The Borla kit has been swapped out for a Magnaflow kit about 2 months ago (the Borla kit was loose and the mufflers wouldn't stay lined up so I replaced it). I've been driving it to work. It has all 4 speakers installed and it runs well. Full disclosure, the oil pan seems to drip a bit of oil (seems to be a Canton pan issue). Includes a spare set of sawblades with old race tires (from my days autocrossing a 4th gen Camaro), the rest of the weatherstripping, both tops, rear u joints (for the axles), spare rear axle shafts and an assortment of other odds and ends I gathered up for the car. |

See updates at the top of the first post. I'm going to start listing some of the leftover parts in another thread and selling off the spares. |
