Route 66 Vettes

Does anyone know what happened to the Vettes used in the making of the TV series Route 66?

This has come up many times, but no-one seems to know what happened to them.

Route 66 corvettes

type in (tv show route 66 corvette) in (bing images) and in the upper left corner will come up a picture of a 62 corvette, now painted silver, at a car show, saying it is one of the route 66 cars. What appears to be some documentation is on the windshield.

I didn't find the car mentioned above in my search, but I did come across an interview I'd never read before. very unusual to hear the George Maharis perspective of things.

Corvette News covered a "Route 66" shooting at the long-gone Marineland sea life park near Los Angeles. Buster Keaton was in the episode.

The interviewer asked Maharis what he thought of his C1 (a black on black '62 FI with hardtop AIR). I'll never forget his brief response:

"It is a bomb. I like it."

I watch Rte 66 regularly on METV ( http://metvnetwork.com/shows/route-66) It is a station that comes in free on digital antenna, and shows all classic tv shows.

I have the VCR (I know...I'm a "Dinosaur":D) all set up to record it shortly - 2a.m. or 3a.m. as I have been doing for past few years. I transfer the tapes to DVD and am missing only about 6...which are being repeated in 2-3 months. A bit "cornier" than when I watched them originally:yesnod:
