NC Collector car insurance questions...

I live in NC. I have called several companies and they won't insure my 71 because they can't exclude by name other drivers in my house.

I have a 21 year old son who doesn't have the most stellar driving record. Heacock would exclude him, but his driving record still counted. What's up with that? I also called Hagerty. The wouldn't even give me a quote. NCM can't even do business in NC.

So, what do you guys use?

And yes, the 21 year old should probably be out of the house already but he's not. So that's not really an option at this point.

I swear, they tax you to death in this state and then this with the insurance. Unbelievable.

NC has some of the most backwards laws when it comes to insurance....

Hagerty insure's about ten cars for me, and I have two minors living in my residence.

One is 10 the other is 45.:D

On a serious note they are one of the most expensive collector car insurance companies.

Try Grundy as they may be a pinch more liberal!
