Stout street 496,
Less than 500 miles on engine; $6000.00
GM 4 bolt block / studded bottom end. Eagle +.250 rods Eagle forged crank Edelbrock Oval (ported by Bob Mckay) Edelbrock RPM Air Gap (center divider milled) Solid roller 255 / 262 on a 112 Moroso pan that will fit in a 69 corvette Holly HP 1000 Ross custom nitrous pistons will Hellfire rings. Copper head gaskets with O-rings. I never dyno'd the engine, but as a 460 it went 124 Mph (1/4 mile) the only time I ever took it to the track. It has to make well over 600 HP as a 496. This engine was built to be a very stout pump gas engine to use in my 69 vette. I decided to go more radical and built a 572, so the 496 is for sale. If you are interested send me a PM or an email and I would be glad to give you the complete history of the engine. The engine needs to go. I also have headers (2 1/8 Hooker Super Comps) and a 3 in exhaust that would be a great compliment to the 496. I am glad to provide more details and pics: iangetbacktowork@gmail.com John |
