How to tighten tension on wiper arm

Got caught today in some light showers, so I turned on the wipers. I noticed the passenger side worked ok but the driver's side had a bit of a smear. The wiper blades are new.

When I got home I noticed the tension on the passenger side spring was much more than the driver's side.

Is there any way to adjust the spring tension or do I need to purchase a new wiper arm for the driver's side....

Cheers

Ken

Paragon rebuilds them - they probably have the spring you need.

Sorry but I could not find a spring listing at Paragon. Perhaps Napa may have something...

You won't find that spring in their catalog - that restoration work is done by Paragon Vintage; when you get them on the phone, tell them you need to talk to Paragon Vintage.

Several years back, the spring in my 67 arm broke when I lifted it for cleaning. I live 45 minutes from Paragon, took them the arm and 20 minutes later I had it back.
