Need some help...Reset & Options buttons no longer light up.

As the title states, I seem to have a failed lamp in the dash...just can't figure out how to get to it. pulling the bezel out of the dash doesn't give obvious access. A little help please?

John

Is there no-one that knows how to change this bulb?

Bulbs are generally "non serviceable" in switches or any part of the dash these days. Switches and displays generally just get replaced. Otherwise there can be write ups on how to disassemble and remove and solder in a new bulb.

Thanks, I hadn't considered that.

Hate to think I have to buy a whole bezel assembly for a bad bulb.

When you get a chance, post a picture of the exact part you are talking about, that way we are on the same page and I might be able to give you a better idea of what route to take.

I'm talking about the buttons labeled RESET and OPTIONS on the right side of the instrument panel bezel.

The bezel pulls off easily enough. There just isn't access to the little light bulbs behind the buttons.

It's probably a sealed unit. Have you checked the price on a new one? One of the lights on my pad is out too.

The switch is held into the bezel with 3 screws. Tried to see if I could find the part number, but no luck with a quick search.

Thanks for the info...in a former life I was an electronics technician. If I get motivated I'll pull the switch assembly out and replace the bulbs with white LEDs.

These RadioShack bulbs cost just over $2.00 for a pair ad are easily soldered in. Whole job about 1 hour.
