WTB: 68-69 Convertible, 4 speed
Hello, I'm new to the forum and am looking to buy a 68-69 convertible!
My must haves are: 4 Speed Exterior-Red, yellow, or blue, no major flaws Interior-Black or blue Good Frame and Birdcage Runs/drives well My nice to haves are: Small block preferred, but big block okay Numbers matching block/transmission Power steering Vacuum system working for headlights/wiper door Receipts/records/documentation A/C (not that important) The closer to Charlotte, NC, the better, but I will consider traveling. I'm looking for something in the $20k-$40k range, depending on condition/options. Thank you! |

I'm considering selling my 69 coupe.
As for your criteria, here's what I've got... My must haves are: 4 Speed Exterior-Red - Not a perfect paint job, but it does look good Interior-Black Good Frame and Birdcage - No rust detected (I purchased the car in Sacramento CA) Runs/drives well - Fires right up and drives (takes maybe 20s to crank if it sets for a couple weeks) My nice to haves are: Small block preferred - Has small block Numbers matching block/transmission - Non original engine/never checked trans numbers Power steering - Yes, but the control valve leaks which is a common problem with that part Vacuum system working for headlights/wiper door - Everything works Receipts/records/documentation - I only have my receipts dated after I purchased the car A/C (not that important) - No AC The closer to Charlotte, NC, the better, but I will consider traveling. - I live near Melbourne FL - Not very close, but not too far away either, probably about a 9hr drive I'm looking for something in the $20k-$40k range, depending on condition/options. - I was thinking of asking somewhere around $18K There are a couple of minor things to fix that i was going to work on when the weather cools off a bit. - The passenger side window regulator is stripped where the handle clips on, so you have to fiddle with the handle to get the window up/down - PS control valve leaks (common problem with these old cars) and if I was planning on keeping it, my plan was to upgrade to the Borgeson unit - Reassemble some of the interior panels, all I need is to get the interior screw kit and put the aft panels back on. In case you are wondering... The reason I'm thinking of selling it is because I have my grandfather's recently restored 1970 C10 that is sitting in the driveway while the Vette is in the garage. I haven't driven the vette much lately and the only way to get the truck in the garage is to move the Vette out (which is not going to happen). I'll see if I can post, or email you some pictures if you are interested. |
