Maybe someone will say more- I have never seen one but I think the outer spoke is very attractive!

I'm pretty sure it's a Nardi wood wheel. Could be $$$. Dennis

Weren't the teak wheels standard diameter?? Also, doesn't really look like teak wood. Nardi is my guess.

Looks like a modern or more recent production 15 inch diameter model used on continuation Cobras and replicas (and probably some other European sports cars). Originals were 16 inch dia and had the hub was separated between spokes - so not an original.

Yes i am sure the steering wheel is for an old Alfa Romeo, Lancia or as said earlier a Nardi steering wheel.

One thing i am sure about and that is that the steering wheel is not for a 1963-67 Corvette

I have to admit that when i first looked at this steering wheel i thought it was a teakwood wheel

Here is a picture of a Nardi steering wheel that looks a bit like the one i have except the deep dish and not as wide openings in the spokes

On second thought it is a little different than the typical Cobra repro wheel. They usually have rivets around the wooden rim. Steel frame looks very similar.

Bringing a three year old thread back to life.

I am looking for a steering wheel to replace the factory wheel on my 64. I need a 15 inch diameter wheel, and a thicker grip.

Kind of like the wheel described in this thread.

Anyone know where I can get such a wheel?

I feel you want a teak wheel there is a guy who will make you one in 15”

I was going to close this as being 3 years old, but if part of the search includes wheels that are pictured, no sense repeating them.

Hopefully other suggestions won’t get edited due to Non Supporting Vendor concerns.

I am not looking for a repo / replica teak wheel in 15 inch diameter.

I really am looking for something like the wheel that was originally pictured in this thread.

I was also thinking it was a Nardi wheel, but I cannot find ANY reference to it in Nardi literature.

The ideal wheel is wood rim, 15 inch diameter, satin finish spokes similar to the original wheel spokes, and a direct bolt on replacement that will use the factory horn assembly parts.

The wheel originally pictured looks pretty close to these specs.

I'll try sending a PM to the OP to see if he was ever able to identify that wheel.

Still looking for options, so please keep the suggestions coming.

One other option (less attractive to me but still an option) is a silver leather wrapped 15 inch steering wheel. Any of the 67-75 Corvette steering wheels would probably work as a core but I cannot find a decent silver leather steering wheel cover.

Wasn't there a silver steering wheel used in late 1970s / early 1980s steering wheels?

Thanks for keeping this thread open.

Steering wheel

About a decade ago I bought a 15" leather wrapped steering wheel from Ecklers for my 68. You could check with them. If you go that route, I would suggest that you have either big arms or power steering. Jerry

Before investing in an expensive wheel, you might want to look for a cheap used 15” wheel to see if you like the size. I bought a 15” wheel for my car and took it off after a week because the top of the wheel blocked my view of the dash gauges.

My wife bought me a 16” Eric Freeman teak wheel and I lived happily ever after.

Like this one?

Personally, I love the feel and look of the Nardi wheel, and that's all I run on my mid years, that said I'm only 5'9" tall so blocking of the gauges is not a concern for me. That wheel is father away from me and I can stretch out my arms to a more comfortable position. I also, have to bend the turn signal towards the dash for clearance. JMHA.

Yes, like that.

I have a Nardi wheel, but it does not fit a 1964 Corvette. I wish it did, because it is beautiful.

I had it on my 72 Vette for a while, but even then it did not fit quite right. The larger horn button (tilt/tele) covered the screws (almost).
