Corvettes @ Carlisle 2015 Aug 27 to Aug 30
 

Hi Everyone, just wanted to post that I will be contacting the Sheraton Harrisburg Hershey hotel in the next day or two to setup a block of hotel rooms for this years event in Carlisle.

Once I have everything setup for the online reservations etc., I'll update this post with all the details. I would imagine we should be able to get the rooms for close to last years price of $134.00 per night.

Just a quick update .. I haven't forgotten about this .. I accepted the proposal about a week ago, rooms will be $137.00 per night - 3 dollar increase over last year.

Just waiting for the Online Booking to be setup ... I think maybe the sales manager I am working with went on vacation for a week since I haven't seen anything yet.

I'll post up all the details when I see them , shouldn't be too much longer.

I heard a rumour which I have yet to confirm. He may have already bought it after Carlisle last year.

I was interested in fall about going this summer, but i can t get excited about paying minimum 25pts on the dollar. by then it may be upto 35

The Block of Rooms is as follows, in addition, rates will be available 3 days prior and 3 days after the Event Dates indicated in the Room Block, subject to availability of guest rooms at the time of reservation.


Thurs Aug 27 - 5 Rooms
Fri Aug 28 - 20 Rooms
Sat Aug 29 - 20 Rooms
Sun Aug 30 - 5 Rooms

The “cut-off date” for reserving rooms in the Room Block is 5:00 p.m. local time at Hotel on 28-Jul-2015.

Cancellation policy is 3 days (72 hours) prior to your first days reservation. If it's cancelled before the 3 days/ 72 hours, there is no penalty. It will spell this out in your confirmation e-mail with exact dates and times.

Room rate is $137.00 US + Tax, this rate applies for single,double,triple,or quad .. meaning that if you had 4 people in the room, the price is still $137.00 ideally split 4 ways.

I went with the default of 2 Double Beds for all the Online Bookings, if you prefer to have 1 King bed and 1 Pullout couch bed (same price), Book Online and then call the Toll Free Number above and provide them your Confirmation Number from the Online Booking and switch the room to the King bed with the Pullout couch.

Hi Stan, I will assume it's going to be the same schedule as in previous years where the crew heads out very very early on the Friday morning. This translates into a Friday Check In and a Sunday Check out, staying in the hotel Friday and Saturday nights.

One of the guys will usually post up the meeting times etc. closer to the event. I blocked out the day before and the Sunday just in case there are folks who like to head down early or stay later.
