Very nice, I really like these wheels, could you pm me a price for this set up and break the tires off Seperate so I can see how much more the r888 are adding.
Really looks great.

Same for me-and would these also work on a base C5 instead of a Z06? I know there is different offsets so I wanna be sure

Great looking wheels. Do they work with the C6 Z06 brakes on a C5?

I hear the owner is a pretty handsome guy as well

Nice! Love my Forgestar's...I just need wider rear rims, now that I have flared fenders. New F14 rears? Or a complete new set? Hmmm...

PM'd you back.

Rob Petyo 01-16-2015 08:47 AM

Beautiful wheels! Can you please tell me the weight of the rims?

I assume they will be okay with using a smaller brake setup (Strange)

18x9.5 is about 21 lbs and 19x11 is about 24 lbs. Yes, the wheels will clear your brakes.

Rob Petyo 01-16-2015 06:27 PM

so on the fence with these wheels or a holley v2 computer :willy:

thanks!

Tell us about the toyo r888 tires. I heard they are no good in cool/cold weather. I drive mine till the salt does down on the roads so 30 degrees or so.

I haven't had them for too long, only about 800 street miles and 1 track day. But I have noticed on the "cold" days here in San Diego (40-45 F) or in the wet, they break loose pretty easily and you should drive with much caution. In the cold they seem to barely stick better than my old Hankook Ventus v12s (280 treadwear), but when warmed up they are almost untouchable

don't. grip on an R comp gets really sketchy below 45deg and ideally they should be above 60deg

freezing temps can affect the compound and cause micro cracking on an r comp

use two sets of wheels and tires if you drive year round in a climate that freezes. some snow/ice tires on wagon wheels for dec-jan would be inexpensive
