C6 Corvette Forum, Just About Every Thread Is Now A Advertisement
 

Don't we talk about our beloved C6's anymore? It seems like every thread is from a vendor trying to sell something. Are our cars so "old" now we have no more to say?

It is very extreme today. I just did a count. There are 70 threads on page 1 and 31 of them are ads. I know we have to live with it.

the ads don't bother me tho. I've been here ~14 months and they already have all my $$. :lol:
the last of my mods will be a cam and that'll come in a few more months. opps....might start getting pms from cam package sellers. :leaving:

I don't mind the ads too much. It helps me dream about what I would like to do to my 2013 GS. Meanwhile, it sits in the garage, needs new tires and is covered in dust. I will drive it again once I get tires....but no ads/sales on tires on the forum, unfortunately.

C7 Discussion is still virgin

They are obvious that they are ads, so don't click on them if you are not interested, besides, it is the vendors that keep the doors open here. I look at the ones that I may be interested in and skip those I am not,

Agree, could have sworn we have a dedicated section for the selling or buying of parts for our particular vehicle, why are they in the general discussion section?

Because that's where the vendors were told they could post their ads when they signed on to be vendors. Do you think it would be appropriate to change that after they've paid their money to advertise here?

Maybe if more forum members became paying supporting members, the forum owners wouldn't have to have so many vendors. Most of the folks participating in this thread are not supporting forum members.

As others in this thread have mentioned, ignore the ads if you're not buying.

Unless its a product that I am interested in, I just ignore them

I know they are ads but I'm getting tired of looking at them and I don't click on them. But with all the C6's out there you would think there would be alot more discussion about them. I know the C7 is virgin but every thread is about the car and there must be at least 20-30 replies to even the most boring thread.

Well if you are concerned about the C6 related posts, here, you ned to try a few of teh other forums. I looked and on one the latest post was made on 1-13-15, so for the past 2 days nothing going on and on another forum the last post there was back on the 2nd of January, so I believe we are doing well here on the #1 forum.
If you want to simply talk about the car buy a C7 as it is a new car so of course there is more activity there.

I own a C6, I'm on the C6 side of the forum so wait, I'll buy a C7 that I don't like just so I can talk more about corvettes. Yea that makes a lot of sense. Or how bout I buy all the generations and then I could talk forever and cover all my bases.
