First of all i want to say that was the first badass launch ive ever seen since buying this car an it reminded me of launching my awd evo with the high rpms, man that thing grips what rpm do you guys launch at??:thumbs:
Whats a ice box for a blower lol? |
Wow. 139 MPH trap is moving for just an Intake, headers, E85 tune and Drag radials. Incredible, clean pass! You made something very hard to do look easy.
|
game changer
insane!!!!
can it be true?! |
Wow. Blazing fast and hook like crazy.
I'd be very interested to know what this car dyno's. Very nice vid. The only thing that is missing is capturing the e.t and mph time. |
Holy $hit!
|
Goes to show you just how crappy the stock tune is imo.
|
Nice run! I'm sure just getting a good tune really liven up these cars.

Not taking anything from the accomplishment made but a street car needs widely available fuel........ Some places E85 is easy to come by but in many places it is not. When E85 will really come into its own (IMO) will be when E85 is detected cars will be able adjust their own tune while on the fly (like some very high end cars do). |
Let me put the power of E85 into context as it relates to the tiny 2.0l motor in my track car(FRS). E85 tunes allow significantly more timing while running much cooler. I gain 20whp (don't laugh 185 on 93 and 205 on E85) However boosted cars see a gain of 50 to 75 whp !
This diiference on a small motor will be amplified on a much larger V8 with full time direct injection. Ethynol measuring kits that communicate with the ecu to allow flex fuel tuning are available for under a grand (at least in the FRS world). http://www.moto-east.com/store/ft86/...fuel-ft86.html |
that's awesome!!! flat out flying! 9s in NO time:thumbs:
|
What a monster run...nicest I have seen in quite some time.
|
Talk about waking up a sleeper!
|
Wow! What a beast.
|
What do you think all these mods would cost, ball park?
Thanks, Paul |
Is the car still running the 65 percent e85 blend ? Assuming it is with an 85 percent blend there's a little more on tap with just that ?
|
Depends on your definition of "minimal" mods. Very good run though.
