What do you guys carry with you when your in your vet
I have a 1998 C5 vert which I put new tires on stock size but not run flats. What do you guys carry with you like 12 volt tire inflaters (what brand is good and some of you recomend) Do they make a kit which is worth buying with everything in it? I'm new to the corvette world this is my first. Thanks

I don't have run flats either and probably never will. I just have a cheap compressor I bought from wallyworld and a plug kit from same store. I also have pair of pliers for pulling whatever is in the tire out. Haven't had to use it yet and hope I never do.

In carry a small air compressor and plug kit I got from Wal-Mart and an old shower curtain to lay on the ground. I also have emergency road service on my auto policy as well as carry a cell phone. I do have the phone number of my insurance agent stored in the phone just in case.

My car came with runflats and they have great tread so I will leave them on til they're gone. Mine isn't a daily driver so I'm not concerned about it but eventually i will be posting for a recommendation for NRFs. I suspect I will begin to do some tracking his spring so will be needing then. I have a can of slime in my truck in case things go really south but I don't think I would want to deal with repairing a flat vette tire myself. I have aaa but I may call BillyJo and inquire about adding that to my policy as well. |
Fix-a-flat, sunglasses, iPod and a sexy co-pilot.

I have a compressor and plug kit also, plus a few hand tools. Plan would be get off the highway, then plug and pump.
Got the pump and kit from Advanced Auto. Only other thing I routinely have is the small metric wrench to deal with the battery side terminals. Had one come loose on me once - got home more by luck than anything else. BYW, why I have run flats: http://www.washingtonpost.com/local/...6de_story.html Not untypical on highways around here. Do not want to be trying to pump up a tire on the hard shoulder. |
