I like the idea of dash logic.. but you need an aftermarket MAF sensor correct?

Why would you need an aftermarket MAF?

If you decide to not use a gauge the dashlogic is what I would use.

MAF=air flow
MAP=air pressure

Yeah, you do need a different MAP sensor to read boost, but most should really consider one of those anyways if you're going with a supercharger. If yours is an 05/06 you need a sensor that a few people around here make, or I can give you the part number for the sensor if you really want to be brave and try to make your own. They cost about $100 from people on here.

If your car is newer than that then I think you can just use a ZR1 sensor which should be cheaper.

MAP.. i knew that didnt sound right..
my car is a 2009.

My setup... DashLogic to read boost and other parameters via DIC and HUD, plus PLX wideband w/ SLP pod for AFR/lambda. The SLP pod is a nice alternative to cutting a giant hole in your dash.

so this? would i need a retune?

that is very nice, where did you get the pod? Streetk14

Then just get a $30 ZR1 map sensor. It's better to do that anyway, since it can actually allow the PCM to see true boost pressure.

Then it's easy then.. ZR1 sensor, change three values in HP Tuners and done.

Exactly!

Ok, im almost sold on the dash logic with the zr1 MAP sensor. but would I have to have my car retuned? I just spent $500 on tuning....

Really just one parameter in the tune needs to be changed. Most tuners do that kind of thing for free after you've paid for a full tune. It could affect fueling slightly in some boosted situations, but I know someone who just threw it in and had no issues with only changing the cal data.

It's literally less than a minute of work for someone to change it that has HP Tuners.. I really hope they wouldn't charge you for a re-tune if you already paid them $500. One setting will have to be changed to tell the computer what MAP sensor you're using though.

If you're running the stock OS then it shouldn't do anything different with a boost reading tune wise since there are no boost tables. I'd have to see your tune to be sure.

Dash logic will be able to pick up the reading though and display it, which of course is the point.

Suprfly 03-12-2015 09:40 PM

i guess a call to my tuner is in order. thanks guys!
