First vette... New member ! C7Z06

Hi everyone!
I have been watching this site for a while now and am so excited to join!
My name is Levi and I'm 32 yrs old living in Alberta Canada.
I am happy to know that my C7 Z06 order is placed with GM and TPW is April 13... I feel pretty lucky to get my hands on one.
Since this is my first sports car of any kind, I'm looking forward to being part of the culture too.
A quick backstory about my decision to get a vette, (if you've read this far thanks! I hope I don't waste your time!!! :-)
I took a trip to beautiful Las Vegas and rented a Camaro, and a vette. The Vette was a 14' Stingray and let me tell you I had a blast.!!! I rented it for 4 days and put 360 miles on it.... Grinning like an idiot the entire time!!! Needless to say I was hooked.
I came home and went straight to a local dealership and was kinda laughed at that I wanted a Vette, made to feel like I was too young or not "the right person" to get a Vette from this particular dealer... Terrible experience for sure.
After some searching, and finding out a cousin of my girlfriend worked for a dealership in Calgary, I was able to, ( with a lot of white knuckle waiting and an awesome salesman who really went to bat for me) secure a 15 Z06!!!

It will be a Shark Grey 1LZ M7 with transparent roof. Black wheels (it was a tough choice between black and spectra grey) and a jet black interior.
Anyway, thanks for everyone who makes up this forum and I am excited to be part of something that is unique and exciting.

Welcome. Take it easy at first until you get used to the power. It has way more than you would expect or may be used to. Then enjoy.

Ya I can only imagine... The rental was a base stingray... 455hp was plenty... I imagine that 650 will be incredible. I've already read through the owners manual and will be doing the "break in" period religiously so that will keep my foot out of it for a while..:-)
