What to look for when buying
 

Hello, I've been looking to buy a z06, and am wondering what are some things I need to watch out for when inspecting them. Ive read lots about this valve issue, is there anything else? Any mods that people do that are a definite sign to stay away because of a vendor or just anything weird?


Also, since this would be my daily driver, whats the drive ability like? I live in Georgia so the roads here are relatively good.

When I went looking for a Z06 a few years ago, I was looking for a stock car but finally settled on a modified one. For a daily driver, I think that was a mistake. Hold out for very low miles, perfect condition inside and out, heads redone by a reputable shop or plan about $3000 for that, hopefully service records on every oil change, have it thoroughly vetted by a knowledgable Corvette shop.
I enjoy driving mine so much, it is a very visceral, pure driving experience.

watch out for speeding tickets, they seem to be a real problem especially if you Z is red.
