Vert guys and non vert guys-which view do you think looks better top up or top down?
I know not all like the looks of convertibles but if you guys had to choose one do you think the C7 convertible looks better when the top is up or down and I know everyone would say that it is more fun to drive with the top down. I thought my C5 and C6 looked better with the top down but I am undecided on the C7 I like them both just as much I think look wise but of course it is more fun to drive with the top down . Which C7 vert LOOKS better top up or down? Coupe guys make sure you chime in and dont say neither. :D:lurk:

I think soft top convertibles always look better with the top down.

I have the coupe but I think top down looks much better than top up. Don

Honestly I like the look of the car with the roof up. I'd even go as far to say I like it better than the coupe, which will not go over well on here.
To me it looks more menancing with the flatter ass end. If you look at the rear deck of the vert you can see indentions where the coupe hatch area would hypothetically be. Never noticed that until last weekend while wiping it off. |
Top down. The C7 Convertible does not have the quarter panel inlets so even with the top up looks better than the coupe (hate those inlets). The totally power top is really neat. This is my fourth convertible and I have driven top down more with this car than all the other convertibles combined.
|
I be very surprised if the answer is not top down by a landslide. They don't call it a rag top for nothing.

Top down for the vert and top on for the coupe.

Top Down. I'm a die hard vert guy but this is the first Corvette I prefer the coupe.
|
I think the C7 convert looks OK top up or down. Better, in my opinion, than the C5 which always reminded me of someone wearing a hat that was a couple of sizes too small-especially if the top was a contrasting color. The C6 seemed somewhat better and the C7 is fine.

The most exotic shape is: 1) coupe, top on 2) vert top down 3) vert top up 4) coupe, top off |
Top down... but only when it's raining.
|
coupe owner...C5 and C7
much prefer the topless look (on any vette). |
I actually bought the Vert because I didnt like the looks of the coupe, didnt really care about putting it down
|
Being its a vert I've got to go with down. As far as looks I've got to give the coupe the edge there.
Both are very nice looking cars. |
