So will a bone stock Challenger Hellcat pull on a bone stock Z06?
 

I've seen the original video, and read through a bunch of the thread talking about it, but there was a lot of name calling and sidetracking.

Which pulls on which, on average, in conditions like that in the original video where the Hellcat pulled on the Z06 pretty hard? Fluke Hellcat (or weak Z06), or is that the general outcome?

Thanks Shurshot. But that's from the hole - I'm talking just about going from a roll on the freeway. I would guess that a Z06 should CRUSH a Hellcat from a stop, given similar HP numbers and MUCH less weight for Z06.

There has got to be real people that have real Z06s and real Hellcats that have ran them from a roll, not just people huffing hot air.

Aside from dragging, how about top speed?

Don't know if the Hellcat has tires comparable to a Z06. Above a certain amount of horsepower, AIR any excess can't be transmitted to the pavement?

And compared to a C7, the Challenger has aerodynamic handicaps IMO!

Both Hellcats top out over 200.

And yes, the tires from the factory suck.

As I remember, the Charger Hellcat is faster then the Challenger. Right because of the aerodynamics...

There was a video showing the Challenger beating the Charger.
Then the Z06 beating both. If the Z06 doesn't spin it wins! :lol:

If any of you z06 guys want to run my hellcat, just let me know. I tried to make this happen last month and had 0 takers.

I'm well aware of Nasty's ATCO runs and I am waiting idle to see if anyone else can publicly match it. Hellcat ran 10.48 in Texas with excellent air and track prep and every one cried BS yet the only people who have been able to show an ounce of proof that it wasnt stock (other than their own personal disbelief) are the same guys that were able to prove that Big N's car was modded as well.

I am not brand loyal at all. You can see how long I've been on the Corevette Forum and I've got 7 vette's in my resume. So I have no interest in seeing the Hellcat be faster nor the Z be faster. I just would like to line them up and find out for sure and then talk about it afterwards with a big smile on my face regardless of outcome.

I will tell you without question that the Hellcat flat out hauls ass. Period. People all over the country are running the 4400 lb beast into 10.8x's on a regular basis. The new Z looks pretty fast too so the least that will come out of it is a hell of a race.

Don't know when next tme our 1/4 mile track will be open here (Zmax in Charlotte, NC area) but I'll call you guys out at that time if I think I can make it. Last time a new Z did show up randomly but he didn't heat the tires up so he ran an 11.95.
