-ZR1's setting records World Wide with LG Motorsports --

All of us here would like to extend a huge congrats to our friends at Tikt Performance and Cool Chevy Race Parts (our European distributor) on their exciting win this past month in the Corvette ZR1 known simply as xXx.

Heinz at Cool Chevy has been using LG Motorsports for all of his performance needs for years and when doing this ZR1 they worked with us and our extensive development with our own in house ZR1 during the hill climb events. xXx is powered by a LG Motorsports cam and exhaust is handled through our Super Pro 1 7/8 Headers.

What makes this event so particularly exciting is that the car not only won the event and sat a new track record but did so passing the factory Porsche Motorsports 918 super car piloted by Walter Röhrl!

Huge congrats again to the guys on their win. For those of you in Europe looking for LG Motorsports products, look no further than Heinz at CoolChevy RaceParts!!

Awesome.... Faster than the 918.

WeaponsGradeTorque 06-13-2015 11:43 AM

WOW. Amazing. What power level is the car putting down?

What an amazing car. Is that a modded cover for the top of the supercharger? Any details on it?

Tomislav63 06-14-2015 11:43 AM

My English is not good enough to explain most of the things detailed, Heinz from Coolchevy Raceparts will write something within the next hours ...

Only this we do 30% more air space more power and a much better cooling ...

that red cover is not a modded stock cover at all, it is a self-developed fully CNC machined cover (by TIKT Performance) to house special intercooler bricks (built by a famous F1 radiator supplier) which are about 70% larger then stock and won't break. It has a lot of integral air fins to better guide air into each cylinder and therefor, when used with the right cam, pushes the power level up by at least 500 rpm.

We tried many cams and LG's G9 series cam simply works the best and let us rev to 7300 "with" power. With stock cover power quickly falls off above 6500 rpm with massive torque drop to boot.

supercharger is fully ported with a TPIS102 TB as these seem to be the only ones to work reliable enough for racing.

other then that engine uses a short stroke ERL SD2 block and WCCH LS9 heads and many other goodies.

right now we can race long stints and our and IAT's hardly go over 20-25 degC above ambient, water and oil temps have never been a problem with our carbon front.

Fantastic job to all involved! Huge shout of congratulations!

Awesome, congrats to all!

Are these lids commercial available? They look great. How much taller are they than stock? Dose the stock hood work?

Who makes that hood?

coolchevy2 06-15-2015 01:37 AM

all those carbon parts like hood, front splitter, radiator inlets, gurneys, front wheel house excavators, GT3 wing and rear transmission cooler inlets which are beautifully crafted but purely for function and not for show are build by TIKT Performance.

it is more like a complete package and some parts are needed to work together to give full results on race track, some are options.

Werks 06-15-2015 03:36 AM

Compliments, nice parts! Can you give us some additional insight on how your front wheel house excavators work and photo's? Also your gurneys, will they work with the standard front fascia?

chuntington101 06-15-2015 10:03 AM

I think the zr1 works needs you to develop a rotor case for the lysholm 3300R rotor pack now to compliment the larger intercoolers. :)
