Help me become a better houligan
I have a 2015 Z51 M7. I have tried my best to burn off the tires but it always hooks up almost immediately. This evening I pulled into a large, empty conrete parking lot to try out donuts. Traction control and active handling turned off, 2nd gear, i was able to do them but, it was ugly, choppy, and at a couple points, I lost enough RPM's that I had to start again. In my C6, I could whip them out with ease, beautiful perfect 360's, and could up shift to 3rd and 4th.
The tires do feel stickier, but I have seen many youtube videos where guys are doing big rolling white smoke burn outs. I have 60 more HP over the C6, what am I missing? |
Tire companies must love you. :leaving:

I've never had a problem

Bring YOUR car over and let ME show you how it's done.
|
Just burn $100 bills and eliminate the middleman.
:flag: |
If your car isn't Shark Grey that is probably your main problem. Everybody knows they make the most power.
|
Remove the supersports, sell them to a high mileage owner.
Put on all seasons or standard tires. You will be able to smoke them easier. And cheaper, too. Downside is you might not make it through the 1st high speed turn, but that's another issue. |
Wow what a bunch of smart azzes.
First off the new tires do have better traction. Second, try on asphalt instead of concrete. Since the vette has such a high first gear I would start the burnout in first. |

If you have mag ride get to track mode 4 (or what ever the last one is), that totally kills all the nannies. Any other mode and some are still there.
At Spring hill we had some fun on wet figure 8 course, with everything off you can spill around like a maniac, turn on weather mode and you can not make the car break traction. It was great fun on someone else's car. |

Yeah, and try more rpm and slip the clutch more and/or longer.

Why would one slip the clutch to break the tires loose, come on man.

So that it doesn't bog and gets up into the power band. How do you think people wheelie motorcycles?
Anyway wheelies on bikes have nothing to do with a car burnout.these cars have plenty of torque and slipping the clutch is just a good way to fry it. I'm done here. |
First step would be to spell "Hooligan" correctly. Or maybe not, now that I think about it.

I guess you have low powered bikes. Mine snap up with a little throttle.

Well, you could always take it out in the rain to do donuts, wait! strike that! forgot they melt when they get wet!
