Post CAM Challenge
For this event, my co-driver fabbed some monoball upper shock mounts that locate the rear shocks higher and allow more jounce travel before hitting the bumpstops.
https://cimg9.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.cor...6b2f192b60.jpg We took a baseline with the new mounts at the same ride height we were running before. Then between AM and PM sessions, lowered the rear ride height substantially... about 3/4". In the PM session, the car was a lot easier to drive, especially on entry while braking. The car is still very adjustable. It will rotate in a predictable way both on the brakes and on the throttle. From AM session to PM session, my co-driver and I dropped 7 and 6 tenths respectively. We finished 5th and 3rd place out of 34 in CAM-S. Not bad for an STU car. |
